Tips - First Impression
As you market your home, one thing to keep in mind is that you
have only one chance to make a good first impression. It's
absolutely vital that prospective buyers form a good opinion of
your home beginning with the moment they drive up.
You can help create a good first impression by presenting
potential buyers with a newly mowed lawn and well cared for
yard. Your front door and porch should be clean and neat,
preferably freshly painted.
These important first encounters create a positive image that
carries through to the rest of your home. An inviting atmosphere
creates an impression that your house has been well maintained
and taken care of. Homes that convey that pride of ownership
frequently receive the best offers. If your home appears
disheveled or uncared for, prospective buyers may quickly
conclude it's been neglected and in need of repairs. Such a
negative observation may result in a less than generous offer.
Or, possibly no offer at all.
Try viewing your home through a potential buyer's eyes. Would
YOU buy your home? Would YOU pay the asking price?
I'll offer additional suggestions and tips from time to time. In
the meantime, please contact me by phone or email if I can be of
further assistance.
Sincerely,
