What You Should Ask a
Prospective Real Estate Agent?
If you are planning to sell your home or buy a home - or
both - please call me for an introductory interview. During the interview we can discuss
the following questions which are recommended by the National Association of REALTORS®.
At the same time, we can review your homes value.
- Are you a
licensed real estate broker or salesperson?
- How long have
you been licensed?
- Are you a member of the National Association of
REALTORS®?
- Have you
earned any professional real estate designations?
- What
professional courses or training sessions have you attended recently?
- How long have
you actively worked in this area or neighborhood?
- How many homes
have you closed in the past three months?
- Do you work
full-time selling homes?
- How long has
your company been in business?
- How many
agents work out of your company?
- Does your
company participate in a multiple listing service?
- Does your
company have a relocation service or work regularly with out-of-town clients?
Here are additional questions for home
sellers:
- What are the
names of three references whose homes you’ve recently sold?
- How actively
will you work to sell my home?
- What kind of
marketing plan will you employ?
- How often can
I expect to get a progress report?
